Aberystwyth University School of Art and the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales present:
‘Art and the Archaeological Imagination: Braving the Dragons’.
27th and 28th February 2019
This two day conference aims to draw together different perspectives presented by artists, by archaeologists, by those involved with cultural values and heritage, and by those dealing with the interface between Fine Art and Archaeology. It is envisioned that this conference will be the first in a short series which will investigate the boundaries of the archaeological imagination.
Under the rigorous scrutiny of our speakers, it is hoped that new fields for enthusiastic academic study will crystallize and a new passion for the archaeological will emerge. But this is unknown territory, and there may well be dragons . . .
